Thank you for your request. We are responsible for publishing mortality statistics for deaths registered in England and Wales, based on data provided during the death registration process. Unfortunately, we are unsure of what is meant by "Annual Death Notifications – coded End of Life (EoLC)" as this is not terminology that is included within our datasets.
Data relating to deaths occurring in individual NHS hospitals are not available within our published mortality statistics. We are able to provide this data, via our bespoke analysis service, for deaths up to end 2018. Data for 2019 will be available later this year. Our bespoke services would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and are subject to legal frameworks, resources and agreement of costs where appropriate.
Please also note that any bespoke tables provided need to fulfil data disclosure controls designed to protect the identity of individual patients or staff.
We are not able to provide information about deaths occurring in private institutions such as hospices.
