Also could you please provide the daily number of COVID-19 tests conducted in each Local Authority District (LAD) in England and Wales from February to July 2020?

Death registrations by local authority for 2013 to 2018 are available in NOMIS.
2019 death registrations have recently been finalised and published. These can be accessed via the following links: Deaths Registered Series and 21st Century Mortality. This data will be also be uploaded to NOMIS within the next few weeks.
NOMIS does not include deaths by occurrence year, only registration year. The following ad hoc table presents data by occurrence year but is only available for 2010 to 2014: Deaths by date of death and local authority, 2010 to 2014 occurrences.
Unfortunately, we would be unable to provide an update of this information in answer to your Freedom of Information request. In order to fulfil this request, we would need use a high level of statistical skill and judgement in order to create bespoke analysis. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
However, an update of this table for 2013 to 2018 is available to commission as a bespoke request for data. Such services would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources and agreement of costs. If you would like to request this bespoke dataset, please contact health.data@ons.gov.uk to discuss your enquiry further. Unfortunately, we do not hold information on number of tests carried out in each local authority.
