You asked

According to your website (https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/transparencyandgovernance/freedomofinformationfoi/numberofbabieswithintersextraits) you state that numbers of babies that display intersex traits as so small, you can't place a number on it.  This was for 2013-2016.

Do you have any new information for 2016-2020?

Thank you for your query.

The advice provided in the following Freedom of Information request, Number of babies with intersex traits, to which you referred still stands. As previously stated, it is very rare that the sex of a child is recorded as indeterminate or intersex at birth registration. Producing data with small numbers may make it possible to identify individual records. Therefore, we are unable to publish figures you have requested. This in line with our disclosure control policy: Policy on protecting confidentiality in tables of birth and death statistics.
