Thank you for your Freedom of Information request about the current population of Keighley and the villages of Crossflatts, Stockbridge, Riddlesden, East Morton and Sandbeds, as well as Ngrow Long Lee, Thwaites, Brow Crossroads, Oakworth and Howarth.

Keighley does not fit neatly into any of the geographies for which we publish statistics. In 2018, in response to a user request we published Population Estimates for Parishes in England and Wales, mid-2002 to mid-2017. The parish of Keighley's population for mid-2017 was estimated to be 56,217.

We do not estimate populations at village level. However, you may find the Nomis website useful as it enables you to tailor your enquiry to specific areas for which you require data. You can access more recent data on this website as well.

In order to access these data, go on the Nomis website. Select 'Query Data' within the data downloads box, then select 'Population estimates/projections', then 'Population estimates - small area by single year of age'. Then select 'Geography' from the box on the left-hand side, then '2011 Output Areas', then select 'Bradford' from the drop-down list at the top, then tick 'use maps to select areas' to the right-hand side of the drop-down list. On the map you can then zoom in on the area and select the output areas which you consider make up the Keighley area. You can then download your data. Then you can do the same again for the villages you are interested in.

The 2018 estimates are the most recent estimates available on the Nomis website.
