We produce annual suicide by local authority data, which is available via the following link: Suicides in England and Wales by local authority. This link provides the number of suicides, suicide rates and median registration delays, by local authority in England and Wales, registered from 2002 to 2019.
Estimates of suicides among higher education students by sex, age and ethnicity was produced as collaboration between ONS and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Analysis was based on mortality records linked to HESA student records. This analysis was produced as a one off and was published in June 2018.
