Please can you send me all the data that you have regarding COVID-19 cases all on one big relational database DB2 or just as worksheets on a spreadsheet?

Thank you for your enquiry.

ONS are responsible for the production of mortality statistics for England and Wales. You can obtain statistics for Scotland and Northern Ireland from NR Scotland and NISRA. They can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a database with all of our COVID-19 death data. The data and figures that would be involved in an answer to this request would be disclosive. Section 39 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007 (SRSA) renders it a criminal offence to release personal information. Personal information is any information held by the Board for statistical purposes that would identify an individual or a body corporate. This includes deceased individuals. As disclosure of the requested information is prohibited by another enactment, the information is considered exempt by Section 44 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Section 44 is an absolute exemption, so no test of the public interest is required.

However, we can provide a detailed list of all of our current publications produced by ONS to date relating to COVID-19 data. We have broken down this list into three segments for you.
