On 12 January 2024 the Office for National Statistics updated users about our plans to resume publication of the Labour Force Survey (LFS). In that update we committed to publish an article explaining what adjustments and improvements were being made to the dataset to allow publication to resume.
We plan to publish this article on Monday 5 February. It will explain the work that has been undertaken to improve the data, where discontinuities will exist and also highlighting areas of uncertainty within the estimates.
Alongside this methodological information, the ONS will also publish LFS-based data from July to September 2022 up to the September to November 2023 datapoint, with the full time series following on 13 February.
These data will be published on the ONS website at 07:00.
